William (Bill) Lewis has an eclectic and successful career as pianist, coach, accompanist, arranger, recording artist, musical director and conductor. For over forty-five years, Bill Lewis has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Iceland, Brazil, China, Germany, Sicily, Austria and the British Isles with artists such as Marcello Giordiani, Gregory Harrington, Maureen O'Flynn, Victoria Livengood, Patti laBelle and Ronan Tynan amongst others. Mr Lewis extensive Musical theatre credits include musical director/conductor for over fifty musical productions including the very successful revival of "Godspell" at the Fords Theatre in Washington D.C
In 2007 Bill founded Opera Oggi of New York and has served on the staff of the Santa Fe Opera, Opera Omaha, Texas Opera Theatre, Lake George Opera Festival and Opera Music Theatre International with Jerome Hines, Central City Opera, House Festival and Natchez Opera Festival. Mr Lewis can be heard on numerous CD releases as a singer and accompanist for many different labels.
He has been on the faculties at both the New England and Boston Conservatories and Rutgers University as well as visiting artist-in-residence at the University of Kentucky. William Lewis continues to be sought after as a teacher, performance accompanist, recording artists, vocal coach and arranger in collaboration with may established artists.
